Job Description          

Founded in 2003, Hemline is a certified women-owned creative marketing agency located in the South Main Arts District of Memphis, Tenn. We collaborate with clients representing companies and organizations of all industries and sizes, on all areas of marketing from strategic planning, branding, advertising and public relations.                        

We are looking for a dynamic Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for cultivating great relationships with clients and stakeholders, through daily communications, both virtually and in-person, understanding their goals, target audiences, brand standards and nuances about their offerings, to help deliver the marketing solutions they desire. You will collaborate with our leadership and creative teams to efficiently deliver what was promised in the determined scope of work, on time and within budget, andmanage it all, every step of the way. You are proactive, organized, detailoriented, and you have ideas….about everything.

To ensure success as a Hemliner, you'll need to be a doer who jumps in to help out others and exudes a can-do spirit to continue fueling our entrepreneurial, small-business, collaborative atmosphere. With a solution-based approach, you have the ability to handle any urgent need in a calm and timely manner, display exceptional communication skills and an acute understanding of brand management.

Account Manager Role

  • Writer who understands that every word can influence, inspire and move someone to act.  
  • Computer nerd who has strong skills in Microsoft Office (namely PPT) and, ideally, has a working knowledge or better of Adobe Creative Suite and Squarespace. 

Account Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day client relationship and communication pertaining to existing projects
  • Gather and analyze primary research and conduct secondary research.
  • Support leadership in developing strategic plans, tactical recommendations and the creative brief.
  • Effectively communicate strategy and tactics to the creative team and manages the process of creative development and refinement based on client feedback.
  • Create budgets and estimates.
  • Document all direction in Teamwork, our project management software, with due dates
  • Seta positive tone for your team and you push beyond the day-to-day. 
  • Committed to the highest standards for all agency work. 
  • Recognized as an expert on brand guidelines.Seek opportunities to advance the client relationship.
  • Effectively present and sell great work.
  • Work with Hemline leadership on answering RFPs and general new business development.
  • Work as a liaison between Hemline leadership and freelance creative talent to communicate changes, check deadlines, get quotes, etc.

Account Manager Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in advertising agency, marketing firm or in-house marketing department.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Experience with research and analysis of consumer and market trends.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a fast-faced work environment, managing multiple clients simultaneously.
