We were more than ready when The Assisi Foundation enlisted Hemline to help launch Ready Shelby, an emergency-preparedness public outreach campaign.

The campaign, says The Assisi Foundation, is working. Numbers are up in simple emergency-preparedness areas, like home evacuation drills. And overall campaign awareness rose from 13 percent in 2010 to 21 percent in 2012. Best news of all? Four Memphis neighborhood leaders took the initiative to represent their neighborhood associations and Ready Shelby—and won the Neighborhoods USA coveted Best Neighborhood Program award.
